At FOGLE’S, we sell only anthracite or “hard” coal which is the hardest and most brittle of all coals. When burned, anthracite coal produces a very hot blue flame.
Anthracite coal is considered to be the cleanest burning and produces more heat and less smoke than other types. Anthracite coal also burns at the highest temperature of any coal (roughly 900 degrees or higher) and typically produces up to 13,000-15,000 BTU per pound.
